A rare example of 1970s black-power hardcore, and some argue this is the only example
from the era with a mostly black cast and crew. There are a few “token” whites in the
cast, but the leads are all African-American performers.

If you like Rhythm & Blues and Soul music, you’ll enjoy the soundtrack with Bernard “Pretty” Purdie and his band. See sceeper’s comment below for more on the amazing Purdie and links to info on the soundtrack.

Jim Holliday was a bit harsh. He wrote that this film “proves that there is no
discrimination when it comes to mediocre sex films.” But Holliday had very high standards for porn, and i think many people will enjoy this regardless.

My description mentions Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, the musician whose band performs in the film and who made the soundtrack recording. I think it’s interesting, not just for music fans, but also because it sheds some light on the ‘porno chic’ era.

The UCL [Ultimate Classics List] listed no other composers, but I made an exception for Purdie for 2 reasons: he’s an all-time top-tier drummer’s drummer, and his involvement in this seems as out-of-character as it could possibly get for a mainstream talent of his stature. Flirting with 70’s porno chic did make for some strange bedfellows.

INTIMIDATION is a pretty by-the-numbers crime story plot-wise, but the sex is a bit hotter in this film than in some similar entries, hence the decent rating. I also have a hard-on for Marlene Willoughby - so her presence in the film helped too.

Jack (played by Robert Kerman - star of several other porn films and most well-known for his performance as the professor in CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST) is a low-level drug-runner for a boss named Blue Boy. His girlfriend (Willoughby) supplies the dope from a contact she has - and eventually has the bright idea to double-cross the boss in order to increase their profits. Of course this goes wrong…
